[MNDancers] Updates/Corrections for Oct 8 ++

Birthdays this week:  Christine DeGonda on Oct. 3 and Mark Lee on Oct. 7!  Best wishes!

Did you know that Stan Hardwick, our fellow dancer, was just inducted into the Hall of Fame of his New York college (Class of 1954) for being a top basketball star??!!  Rah-rah-rah,siss-boom-bah to Stan!

Jason Barnes, dance instructor,  just got engaged to his girlfriend, Amy, on Sep. 30; wedding next fall of 2007.Congratulations!

I bought my ticket for the Moonlight Ball which is tomorrow.  'Hope you can come for the dancing or dinner& dancing.  Here's the info. again:
Oct. 6 - Moonlight Ball & Latin "Carnaval" @ Trocaderos, 107 N. 3rd Av., Mpls., (across street from Ribnick Furs), 612-465-0440, 7 pm-Cocktails,7:30-Dinner (Salad, Fish, Meat, Chicken, Dessert), 8:30-Ballroom Dancing (band "Swing Train"), 10:30-2  - Latin/Salsa Band "Pimienta Negra" from Costa Rica, $45, dance only is $20 in advance or $25 at door, Street Formal Attire, tickets: Eliecer TICOBAILA at YAHOO.COM, 612-240-9053, almost sold out, is going to be on television next week on ch. 13 Univision.

Also, Oct. 6 is a Fall Dance @ Metropolitan Ballroom, 5418 Wayzata Blvd., Golden Valley, (on 394, take Park Place exit), 8:30-1:00, Band: Danny's Reasons (probably EC swing?), $20, dressy attire, includes late evening buffet.

Medina Ballroom - Check their new schedule. Ballroom dances switch from Wednesday evenings to Thursdays starting next week, Thursday, Oct. 12 with The Dixie Cats. Also, the Tuesday afternoon dance will be on Wednesday just for that week. www.medinaentertainment.com.

Sat., Oct. 7 - Variety Dance @ Harmonies, lesson will be tango by Kathy G. Compo.  Melissa and Bret Stepan will have to come some other time due to family emergency.

Fri., Oct. 6 - Beg. Lessons start in swing,  and Latin/Salsa in St. Louis Park, www.slpcommunityed.com, 952-928-6442.  Ballroom dance lessons start Nov. 14.

The Sun. Oct .8 Dance, 1:30-5 at Medina with the Jan Garber Orchestra is $17 at the door or $14 in advance, 952-763-478-6661 lesson at 12:45.
