[MNDancers] Saturday after the Black Dog

This Saturday, of course, is the Black Dog milonga. Some of us still have a
little dancing left in us afterwards, so I thought it would be a great idea to
go down the street and check out Matty B's, where we will hold the Asthma
Fundraiser next Saturday, May 27th.

Matty B's has been getting some great reviews from local dancers for their great
music and beautiful dance floor. It is owned by dancers, so they have an idea
what we want. This Saturday Christine Rosholt will be playing. Her band plays
great swing and jazz standards.

We won't be able to make it there much before 11:30, since dancers often linger
at the Black Dog until almost 11:30. If you arrive early, save a table near the
dance floor!

Matty B's Restaurant. $10 plus cost of dinner. Matty B's Supper Club is in the
old Gallivan's space, a St. Paul institution for many decades (354 North
Wabasha; 651-291-0404; www.mattybs.com). Once known for the political deals cut
in its "smoky back room," the restaurant and bar are now a smoke-free upscale
dining experience. The new owners have preserved the original mahogany paneling
and bar while adding the special touch of crystal chandelier lighting and a new
Brazilian dance floor!
