This week I will start a West Coast Swing series in place of the salsa
series. Wednesday, 6:30 to 8:00. You need to sign up in advance as class
size is limited. This is a beginning class for those who know other dances
or who need to relearn the basics. After class we have choices - This
Wednesday Café Accordion is at the Lake Harriet Pavilion so we might go
there instead of the Eagles this week.

This Saturday is the Black Dog tango milonga, and we have the good fortune
to have Mark visiting again from Utah. He has offered to DJ, and I may get
him to help teach the class as well. 7:30, Black Dog Café, 308 Prince
Street, St. Paul Across from the Farmers Market.

The next Blues Dancing workshop is Saturday June 24th Blues dance looks
deceptively simple, but can be tricky to catch on to, so don't be afraid to
take the class again if you still haven't developed your comfort level.

This weekend I was asked lots of questions about the Fifth Friday dance.
First of all, it's this month - June has a fifth Friday! The lesson will be
in Spins and Turns, and yes, there will be a place to put out your dance
paraphernalia for sale. It looks like there will be a good number of shoes.
The theme of this dance is Clean out your Closets: Dress in that great
outfit that you loved to wear when you first started dancing - but doesn't
seem to be quite in style anymore. I know I have about 50 choices!

The dance is at the big, air-conditioned and safe 42nd Ave Ballroom, 42nd
and Lyndale Ave N. Cost is $8/$4 after 11PM.
