For weekend plans, please consider checking out the Blues Kings on their first gig at the Schooner Tavern this Friday night, July 28th 

Dan Schwalbe is in the guitar chair - and for those who haven't been; the Schooner has a great floor, and good sound.  It's not huge but it's bigger than Neumann's and plenty big enough to have a lot of fun!

This goes up against the B-dale dance (and maybe lindy dances, for all I know!) but if you'd like to check it out, please do.

It's the old buiding in the strip mall that's attached to the Rainbow foods at Lake & 28th.  Just pull into the Rainbow lot, locate the 1890's - 1910's era building that says 'Schooner Tavern', and park in front of the bar.  Inexpensive drinks, free parking - no cover as far as I know, and great dance music!
