Friday, February 10th,  2006:

Cafe Bailar (Ballroom, Latin, Swing) Valentine's Dance  at Foster's 
Dancesport Studio, Hopkins.  Rhumba lesson by Brett Stepan  7:30-8:30pm. Dance with DJ: 
Tricia Parker 8:30-midnight.  $8/members.  $10/nonmembers.

MNWCS Dance at B-Dale Club in Roseville.  Lesson  by Duayne Wincell 
7:30-8:30pm.  Dance with DJ: Sue, then Bob Wood  8:30pm-midnight. $5/members. 
$8/nonmembers.

Ballroom Spin (Every 2nd Friday of the Month).   Foxtrot/Samba lesson 8-9pm. 
Social Dancing 9pm-Midnight.  Come dance many  styles of Ballroom, Latin, and 
Nightclub to popular music. $6/$4 College  Students. Cinema Ballroom,

The Owatonna S.A.S. (Supporting Activities for Singles)  Valentine's Dance.  
8pm-12midnight.  Owatonna VFW: 135 Oakdale  St.  Music by Mega Force.  $8.

Cinema Ballroom's Vienesse Waltz Ball. An Evening  of Elegance and Romance. 
Live music by Christine Rosholt & Café Accordion  Orchestra. Reception 
7-7:30pm.  Dance lesson 7:30-8:pm. Dancing  8:00-11:30pm.  The Viennese Ball is a 
formal event.  Reserved  Seating is available and gets you: A reserved seat at a 
table for  four, a red rose, and a set of free drink tickets. Tickets are

8pm-12midnight. Doors and bar opens at 7:30pm.   $7/person.  1114 American Blvd W., 
Bloomington.  Directions: Hwy 494  to Lyndale Ave S., 1 block south on Lyndale, 3 
short blocks west on American  Blvd, to KC Hall.  Dress as your favorite record,

members. $8 for nonmembers. 

USA Dance Monthly Dance for February (normally the  3rd Saturday of each 
month) has been upstaged by... The 9th Annual Star of the  North DanceSport 
Competition, February 17-19: Memorial Hall - McNamara Center -  University of 
Minnesota.

2006 (9th annual) Star of the  North Competition- Volunteer Information: 
February  17-19.
Co-volunteer coordinators: Sharon Kennedy and Mike  Jones.  The competition 
will be at the McNamara Alumni Center Memorial Hall  at the University of 
Minnesota.  The volunteer shifts are as follows and  the times can vary slightly 
depending on how the competition is  going:
-Friday Afternoon, 12pm-2pm, Floor  Set-up. 
-Friday Evening, 5:30pm-12am,  Competition.
-Saturday Morning, 8am-1pm,  Competition. 
-Saturday Afternoon,  1:30pm-6pm, Competition.
-Saturday Evening,  7:30pm-12am, Comp./Floor Takedown.

Saturday Night Fever - Saturday February 25th come out  and dance Hustle, 
West & East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha Two Step, Nite Club Two,  Waltz & More! All to 
the music of the 70's and 80's. This is a B.Y.O.B.  Party.  Setups will be 
available with proceeds going to a fundraiser for  Gianna Controneo. Free Hustle 
lesson taught by Jason Barnes From 7:30 to 8:00,  Music at 8 - Host & D.J. Bob

The Dancers Studio Midnight Star Showcase is on  Saturday, March 4th from 
6:00pm to 10:00pm.  Like all of our showcases,  this will be an exciting night of 
dance performances, social dancing, and  fun!  The Midnight Star Showcase 
brings the added element of respected  judges to benefit our participants making
