[MNDancers] Black Dog this weekend, etc

The Black Dog is this Saturday the 16th! 308 Prince St, by the Farmer's
Market in St. Paul. Lesson at 7:30, dance from 8 to 11.  I will bring what
is left of the things I bought from Buenos Aires (things are going fast!) -
several pairs of women's shoes, some clothes, souvenirs and CD's.  It looks
like David will be home!  Afterwards, we often go over to Matty B's on
Wabasha. This weekend they have Charmin Michelle, a great jazz singer, and I
know several swing dancers will be there. 

If you are interested in getting some shoes from BsAs, I will be sending in
an order to Buenos Aires very soon. Find the style and color you like at
http://victoriotangoshoes.com.ar/, take a measurement of your foot and I'll
get your order in. Cost of the shoes is from $75 to $100 for women, and $90
to $130 for men. The cost depends on the leather and the style. If you would
like, you can stop in here and I will help you pick a style and measure your
foot. 

December 23rd: The Fourth Saturday Seminar will be on the embrace. The
quality of the embrace is the most important thing in tango dancing - if you
don't believe me just ask any of the women who have been to Buenos Aires. We
will talk about the terms - salon, milonguero, apilado, and all of the other
"types", and how to move from one to the other. We will also talk about how
to stop thinking about the definitions, and use the embrace to both
partner's ultimate delight.  

Afterwards David and I will have a Christmas party/open house here.

P.S. I just talked to David in Anchorage, Alaska. I caught him between
dances at Dan Boccia's milonga (Dan was one of the DJ's at Heartland). He
blew me off after about 5 minutes - he had to go and dance! I guess he's
starting to like this tango stuff....
